Welcome to Bodyworks Karate & Mixed Martial Arts

Since 1978 our mission has been to make our students more successful in life through their practice of the martial arts. We do this by presenting a curriculum that embraces a very dynamic and holistic philosophy, one that empowers the practitioner in personal safety and much more. Through our practice and teaching, we strive to enrich the students' lives by challenging them to attain physical and mental control that will bring the mind, body and spirit into harmony. Through this harmony, the practitioners lead a more enriched life, one that is not frustrated by obstacles, but one that is rich with possibilities.

Headed by Kyoshi Shapero and a staff of expert instructors, Bodyworks Karate Center offers a number of programs for physical fitness and instruction in the Martial Arts.

We hope that you will take advantage of our FREE TRIAL INTRODUCTION.

Our Purpose.

The teaching of the martial arts at Bodyworks is not designed to defeat others, but to awaken the giant within you.

There are many forms of martial arts throughout the world. The system we study is a blend of Mixed Martial Art (MMA) which incorporates many styles including Israeli Martial Arts and American Boxing blended into an easy to learn and fun system of fitness and self defense.

At Bodyworks we have a mission not only to teach these skills of mixed martial arts, but also to enrich and enhance the lives of our students by leading them to a better understanding of life through mixed martial arts. We believe that the martial arts develop a style of thinking which promotes positive growth from within. The goal of the Bodyworks' staff is to teach our students to use the martial arts as a tool to improve their quality of life. Men, women, and children of all ages from Media, Wallingford, Swarthmore, and Springfield are enjoying the benefits of our program.
